BOXSTER HAUS
September 2026 (selection)
1998 Porsche Boxster, 986 engine, 2.5, 99,000 km.
Tiptronic. Japanese import. Owner: Kobe B.
Brief: After inspecting Kobe’s low-km Boxster, we found it was missing the all-important bump stops. Further investigation found 2 completely worn-out front struts. No rebound at all. Also needed top mounts & bearings. Decided on new strut kits (Including springs)
Transformation was extraordinary. Fitted new tyres and wheel alignment. Happy Kobe. Further work is required, i.e., the ABS wiring harness (LH/RH), a common issue on 20-year-old plus Boxsters/911s. Some trim parts; we have a first-class Porsche. This car is much loved!
Watch this space as we partner with Kobe on sorting his Boxster.
1998 Porsche Boxster, 986 engine, 2.5, 45,000 km.
Tiptronic. Japanese import. Owner: Campbell M.
Brief: Another Early Japanese import. Lovely, very low-km example. Major service, including the Tiptronic.
Service began with a customary Engine Flush here at Boxster Haus! We don't believe in pouring clean new oil into a dirty (sludgy) engine. New filters throughout. Without knowing the Tiptronic (auto) service history, now is a good time to change the filter, remove the sludge, and add new ATF oil. Although the box was smooth before the service, it feels crisper now.
Another well-loved Boxster! Two early Boxsters from Japan in the same week is rare. Manual Boxsters will always trump, but one cannot underestimate how good the Tipo’s are. Still a mighty Porsche.
2003 Porsche 986.2 Boxster 2.7 (Engine)
5-speed, 75,730km. Owner Kieren G
Brief: 12-month service. We first began servicing Kieren’s Boxster in August 25. Over that time, have upgraded the suspension and replaced the air conditioning condensers. The only fault we could find was a leaking oil pipe (plastic) from the oil filler. Parts will be ordered, and we will get him back at a later date.
